The introduction of ACTION PARK into the world of rock-climbing is marked by the appearance of its first Artificial Rock-Climbing Structure in 1996 in a well-known sports store in Barcelona. By exploiting our experience in artificial rocks, which has been acquired through the theming of all types of leisure and recreational facilities over the past two decades, we have so far completed approximately 20 rock-climbing projects all over Spain.
ACTION PARK´s engineers calculate the support structure and hangers needed in order to produce the assembly plans for the climbing wall, based on a preliminary design prepared with the help and experience of Pedro Pons, Boulder Climbing World Champion. Once on-site, our structure fitters put both the frame and mesh support of the rock in place, giving way to the gunite sprayers and sculptors who create textures and features in the clay in order to produce a truly authentic-looking rock formation.
Just like natural rock both to the sight and to the touch. Rocks designed by hand, built by hand and for climbing by hand.
ACTION PARK has increased its offering to the world of rock-climbing with the introduction of its range of panels and grips thanks to our experience and expertise in plastic transformation. Due to the specific nature of this material, we have worked in collaboration with the research team from the Biomechanics Institute of Valencia (IBV) in order to ensure that all safety regulations for this type of material are adhered to.
Very soon we will be offering rock-climbers a full range of grips and panels.
